Opened in December of 2001 by two former Glens Falls Greenjackets, Hank Pelton III and Sean Brand . Big Uglies was started with a line of apparel that is designed to appeal to the bruised egos of football linemen. Hank and Sean first met in 1984, playing on opposite sidelines at the annual Glens Falls-Hudson Falls Jug Game. Sean went on to play at Hudson Valley Community College, while Hank played for four years on amateur teams representing different bases where he served in the Marine Corps. They both returned home and played for the Glens Falls Greenjackets, Hank from 1988-1998 and Sean from 1986-1996. After their ten years well spent played for the Greenjackets, both decided to turn their attention from athletics to entrepreneurship without losing a passion for the game the dominates much of their lives.
